Lecture: About Face - Five Centuries of Self-Portraits

Vivian Gordon, an art historian and educator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, will present this illustrated lecture about self-portraits.

She will look into the different approaches to the self-portrait using examples from The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The works from the Renaissance to Pop Art will include paintings by Durer, Caravaggio, Rubens, Rembrandt, van Gogh, and Andy Warhol's prescient Last Self-Portrait.
