Larceny from Auto

  • An unknown suspect(s) on Oct. 12 took property from a vehicle that was parked on Cedarhurst Avenue in Cedarhurst.

  • An unknown person(s) on Oct. 16 took property from a vehicle that was parked on Brower Avenue in Woodmere.

  • An unknown person(s) on Oct. 16 removed property from a vehicle that was parked on Centre Street in Woodmere.

  • An unknown suspect(s) on Oct. 16 took property from an unlocked vehicle that was parked on Wyckoff Place in Woodmere.

  • An unknown person(s) on Oct. 16 took property from an unlocked vehicle that was parked on Allen Lane in Woodmere.

  • An unknown person(s) on Oct. 17 took property from a vehicle that was parked on West Valley Stream Boulevard in Valley Stream.

  • An unknown person(s) on Oct. 21 took property from a vehicle that was parked on Barnard Avenue in Cedarhurst.

  • An unknown person(s) on Oct. 22 used a brick to break the driver's side window of a vehicle that was parked on Franklin Avenue in Hewlett and took property.

  • Criminal Mischief

    • An unknown person(s) between Oct. 1 and 19 damaged two Halloween tombstone decorations at a Waters Place home in Valley Stream.

    DWI

    • Lena Martinez, of Valley Stream, was arrested on Oct. 23 on West Merrick Road in Valley Stream and charged with DWI.

    Arson

    • A complainant reported to police on Oct. 17 that scarecrow decorations for Halloween at an East Beverly Parkway, Valley Stream, home were set on fire by an An unknown person(s).

    • A complainant reported to police on Oct. 18 that scarecrow decorations for Halloween at a Beverly Parkway, Valley Stream, home were set on fire by an An unknown person(s).

    Petit Larceny

    • A complainant reported to police on Oct. 18 that upon return to their house, which has not been occupied since Superstorm Sandy, a flagpole had been taken from the yard.

  • An unknown person(s) on Oct. 18 took Halloween decorations from a Bernard Street home in North Lawrence.

  • The following individuals were arrested and charged with petit larceny:

    • Sandra Chunoo, of Brooklyn, at the Walmart in Green Acres Mall on Oct. 16

    • Chandrawattie Sharma, of South Ozone Park, at the Sears in Green Acres Mall on Oct. 16

    • Ankita Sardana, of Jamaica, at the Walmart in Green Acres Mall on Oct. 18

  • Marvin Amos, of Saint Alban,s at the H&M in Green Acres Mall on Oct. 20

  • Daniella Hagley, of Brooklyn, at the Old Navy in Green Acres Mall on Oct. 20

  • Savitri Narine, of South Ozone Park, at the Macy’s in Green Acres Mall on Oct. 20

  • Stacey Hinds, of Brooklyn, at the Kohl’s in Green Acres Mall on Oct. 23
