PTA Holds Annual Pumpkin Patch and Fall Festival at Willow Road School
Valley Stream, N.Y. - The Valley Stream Union Free School District Thirteen’s Willow Road School recently hosted a Fall Festival for students, parents, and staff. The event, sponsored by the PTA, took place at the Willow Road Elementary School field. Activities at the festival included a pumpkin patch, inflatable obstacle courses, carnival games, a photo booth, and other various attractions.
Attendees were met with exciting activities, thanks to the efforts of the PTA. Around the fences of the field, tables were set up with various activities and food. Volunteers set up booths for hair styling, popcorn, pumpkin decorating, temporary tattoos, grilled food, mystery goodie bags, and plenty of candy. Some of the inflatable activities included a slide, a soccer target circle, an obstacle course, and more.
The annual Fall Festival is always an exciting time for the Valley Stream Union Free School District community. In addition to the enjoyment the day brings, it is also a time for bonding between students, parents, and staff through the mutual participation in the day’s games and activities. It is always the goal of the district to find opportunities to bring the community together.
