Heavy Wind Gusts Are Predicted

Heavy wind gusts are predicted to continue today and possibly into Friday. Please be cautious and remember:

Any downed wire should be treated as though it is a live electric wire. Therefore, do not approach or drive over it, or touch anything it’s contacting. Report a downed wire immediately to PSEG Long Island’s 24 hour Electric Emergency number: 1-800-490-0075.

If you lose power notify PSEG at 1-800-490-0075.

Avoid unnecessary outdoor activity. Falling tree limbs and other wind-blown debris can cause serious injuries or death.

Remove any unsecured objects outside, such as lawn furniture, portable BBQ’s and pool equipment to a safer location, or secure them.
