Hewlett Grad Creates Fundraiser For Rescued Son In Fl Collapse
The GoFundMe page by Neil Handler, who graduated from Hewlett H. S. in 1981, has more than $78,000 in donations for his "miracle" son.

Neil Handler, who graduated from Hewlett High School in 1981, started a GoFundMe page for his "miracle boy," Jonah.
More than $78,000 in donations have been made to help the healing and grieving.

Jonah Handler's mother Stacey Fang, 54, was the first victim identified, the Miami Herald reported.
Fang's ex-husband Neil Handler wrote in the GoFundMe page, "As we are here feeling completely humbled by God's amazing grace sparing Jonah's life in what has been an unfathomable and unprecedented tragedy."

He said any money would be used toward his medical expenses, his mental health and to defray the cost for his mother's funeral. Any funds left over will get placed in a trust for Jonah's college education.
The 15-year-old Handler is a junior varsity baseball player at a Miami Gardens high school, Local10.com reported.
