Hofstra's 22nd Italian Festival is Sunday
Thousands expected for annual Italian festival.

Hofstra University will host their 22nd Annual Italian Festival this weekend.
From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., thousands of festival-goers will head to the South Campus and drink in Italian customs.

Hofstra’s festival focuses on Italian influence in America and celebrates with food, vendors, handmade crafts, cultural exhibits, music, dancing, poetry, and more.
Children can join the fun with a bounce house, face painting, and magic and puppet shows.

The schedule of events is as follows:
- 11 a.m. Welcome ceremony
- 11 a.m.-5 p.m. CIAO Radio show with Italian music
- 11:45 a.m.-12 p.m. Poetry reading by Daniela Gioseffi
- 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Gary the Great magic show
- 12-4 p.m. Angelo Giudici and The San Remo Duo
- 12:30-1:30 p.m. Simona De Rosa
- 12:30-5 p.m. AIAE Poets and Writers Piazza
- 1:30-2 p.m. and 3-3:30 p.m. Jester Jim
- 2:30-3:30 p.m. Popera
- 4-5 p.m. Long Island Mandolin and Guitar Orchestra
