Homemade Salad Dressings and 'Broasted Chicken'
Five Towns Patch's new business of the week is Broadway Bistro.
Two veterans of the daytime takeout world have teamed up for one of Hewlett’s newest restaurants, Broadway Bistro.
Nick Dinielli, a Hewlett resident and owner of Garden City Bistro, and Larry Improte, of the former Hewlett Foods, were looking for a space close to home when they “fell into” the location at 1443 Broadway after the previous eatery there closed up.
“We never did this before, we want to make sure we do it right,” said Dinielli, who is also a volunteer firefighter. “Thankfully, we have a lot of friends and family in the area [and] our following from the daytime business.”

Broadway Bistro’s most popular items are Dinielli’s salads and dressings, which his Garden City business is known for, and Improte’s “famous Broasted Chicken,” which is pressure cooked. Of course, standards such as burgers, steaks and fish are popular on the menu.
The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with lunch being the busiest meal of the day. Broadway Bistro offers a pre fixe menu during dinnertime Sundays through Thursday and delivery — to the Five Towns, Atlantic Beach and surrounding towns — until 8 p.m. Specials are also offered to students.

The restaurant’s liquor license is pending, so complimentary drinks are being offered in the meantime, Dinielli said. Once the license is granted, he hopes to host nighttime activities such as live music and wine tastings.
Dinielli said people should check out Broadway Bistro for “delicious, freshly-made food, large quantities and beautiful decor.”Get more local news delivered straight to your inbox. Sign up for free Patch newsletters and alerts.
