OMC Gang Member Cops to Shooting of Informant

A member of the Bloods gang that lives in Old Mill Court, who in the past was acquitted of murder, has admitted to his role in the 2011 shooting of a police informant.

Carl Perryman pled guilty on Aug. 16 to two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon in-aid-of racketeering and one count of discharge of a firearm, according to Rockville Centre Police Commissioner C.A. Gennario. He faces a 25 to 30 year prison term at his sentencing on Dec. 20.

Perryman was arrested in February 2011 with Charles Sullins on federal charges of attempted murder.

Before this arrest, Perryman had been acquitted twice — once on charges of shooting an RVC man and once for murder. Both victims lived in the same Rockville Centre Housing Complex as Perryman.
