Lawrence Schools Meeting, Homecoming Game

Here are some things coming up this week:

• The villages of Cedarhurst and Hewlett Neck will hold board of trustees meetings at 8 p.m. The Village of Lawrence will hold a meeting on Thursday at 8 p.m.
• The Hewlett-Woodmere School Board will hold a work meeting on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. 
  Other Hewlett-Woodmere events: SEPTA board meeting, Monday at 10 a.m.; OES Parent Workshop: Positive Behavioral Strategies, Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.; FECC PTA Meeting, Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.; WMS PTA Meeting, Thursday at 9:30 a.m.; HES Family Book Club, Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
• The Lawrence Board of Education will meet on Monday at 8 p.m. There will be a Central Council PTA meeting on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
• Lawrence's homecoming game, against Hewlett, will take place on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
• Hewlett-Woodmere Public Library events: 14 Forgotten Favorites, Tuesday at 1 p.m.; Can Albany be Fixed?, Thursday at 1 p.m.
• Peninsula Public Library events: Illustrated Art Lecture: Exporting Florence, Monday at 1 p.m.; Media-Lecture: Yiddish Theatre: Laden With Happiness & Tears, Thursday at 1 p.m.; LEGO at the Library, Thursday at 4 p.m.
• The Woodmere Fire Department will host a Fire Prevention Day on Sunday at noon.
