1. Jeff Bessen reports on a Woodmere teenager who was reported missing Sunday. Shira Ashvil is 15 years old and was last seen leaving her home 1 a.m. on Sunday, according to Nassau police. If you have any information, contact the Missing Persons Squad at 516-573-7347. (LI Herald)

2. Jordan Lauterbach has the story on Valley Stream North athlete Ryan John winning three track and field events at the Nassau Class AA field events final Monday. The high school junior won the long jump with 22 feet, 4 ¾ inches, the high jump with a 6-6, and the triple jump with 47-7 ¾. (Newsday)

3. CBS New York talks to Long Island parents about the confusion over masks in schools. A Cedarhurst family is among the parents and kids who reflected on their reactions to the changing guidelines. (CBS New York)
4. Tory N. Parrish tells us about another strange post-pandemic phenomenon: a lifeguard shortage on Long Island. Motti Eliyahu is the owner of Lifeguard Training NY in Valley Stream who was quoted saying this was the worst shortage in a decade for community pools, camps and private beach clubs. (Newsday)

- The Lawrence Track Team got some wins at the Nassau County Track “A” Championship in field events. Lelani Bernard is Nassau County Champion in the shot put. Danielle Goner was named to the all-county team in the shot put, finishing in second place and third in discus. Angel Bran is Nassau County Champion in the long jump. Don Smalls was named to the all-county team in the high jump and the triple jump, placing third in both events. (Lawrence schools)
- Hewlett high school tennis player Stephan Gershfeld beat Mikey Weitz of Roslyn, winning the Nassau boys tennis individual championship Sunday in Eisenhower Park. (Newsday)
