A man walking with his teen friend was mugged on Monday while walking on North Central Avenue in Valley Stream, police said.

At about 4:50 p.m. on April 1, an 18-year-old man and his 16-year-old male friend were walking near Ethel Street when an unknown black man — described as heavy set with corn rows — approached them, according to police. The man demanded the 18-year-old victim’s jacket and attempted to pull it off.

The victim and his friend ran across the street when another man — black and 5 foot 6 inches — grabbed the 18 year old’s hat. Both subjects then fled on foot west on Ethel Street. No injuries were reported.
