Own, or Borrow, Some Fashionable Wear

Five Towns Patch's new business of the week is Fashionista Boutique.

Women looking for casual or evening wear can check out the Five Town’s latest shop, Fashionista Boutique in Woodmere, where dresses are also available to rent.

The store, which has been open for a couple of months, carries brands such as Free People, Sky, Ark and Company, Elan, and Kiki Riki, and shoes by Chinese Laundry, Sbicca and Havaianas.

“It’s a very girly store. It looks like a woman's wardrobe or closet,” said Sharon Levy, owner of the shop. “I don’t think anyone can beat the prices that we have.”

As well as her prices, Levy said her location, at 8 Irving Pl., serves her well since there is a large parking lot and there aren’t any similar boutiques nearby.

For many Five Towns women who attend a lot of events, renting might be a better option than buying new dresses. Fashionista Boutique currently stocks about 50 evening dresses with more coming in. Customers can come to the store about two weeks prior to their engagement and then have their outfit customized, Levy said.

“Everything speaks for itself,” Levy said of her store. “People’s jaws drop by how beautiful it is.”
