Pics: Atlantic Beach Club Rebuilding Again After Sandy

The Shores at Atlantic Beach was born from the ruins of two former clubs that were destroyed by Hurricane Irene — and now the new club is rebuilding from the destruction of Sandy.

The club suffered "massive damage" and lots of work still needs to be done before it is reopened, according to Brian Bezalel, manager of the club.

"We have worked tirelessly over the many months since the storm, and are once again re-building and re-opening after the hurricane (twice in two years!)," he said.
