Police: Elmont Deli Robbed at Gunpoint
A clerk was allegedly in the store when three unknown subjects entered and ordered him to the rear of the building.

The Fourth Squad is investigating a robbery that occurred on Monday, June 22 at 4 p.m. in Elmont.
According to detectives, a 23-year-old male victim was working inside the Elmont Deli Grocery located at 782 Hempstead Tpke., when three unknown male subjects entered, displayed a black handgun and ordered the victim to the back of the store.
The victim reportedly noticed one of the subjects rolling down the metal security door and locking the interior glass door. As the victim sat in the storage area, the three subjects went through the store taking several printed lottery tickets, a DVR system, several cartons of Newport cigarettes and an undetermined amount of cash from the register. The subjects fled the store in an unknown direction.

Subject #1 allegedly displayed a black handgun and is described as a male black wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt with a red scarf covering his face. Subject #2 is described as a male black wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, white and blue work gloves and a red bandana covering his face. Subject #3 is only described as a male black. No injuries were reported.
Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
