1. Jerry Barmash has a story about a house fire in Lawrence Thursday night. Several local fire departments responded, and a resident who was on a ventilator had to be moved. No one was injured. (Patch)

2. Long Island Press/ Reuters updates us on one-time Valley Stream resident and tennis star Naomi Osaka who has left Wimbledon. The number two women's player withdrew from the competition for personal reasons but maintains she will be at the Tokyo Olympics. (Long Island Press)
