Protest Scheduled For Belmont Stakes Saturday
Animals rights advocates are expected to rally after more than 20 horses died this year at Belmont Park.

ELMONT, NY — With 22 horses having died this year at Belmont Park, a protest is scheduled before Saturday's Belmont Stakes. One death took place on the track.
Animal rights group NYClass is co-hosting the rally to make the public aware of "cruel and deadly horse racing practices," they said in a news release.
They will also seek to cancel the industry's million-dollar subsidies, they said in a statement.
