Reminder: First Meeting of Hewlett-Woodmere Civic Association

The Hewlett Woodmere Civic Association, an organization started by college student Jeremy Rosenberg, will hold its first meeting on Sunday, March 10, at 7 p.m.

Rosenberg started the group to spur residents to discuss issues such as Woodmere's vacancies, the county’s police precinct merger and storm preparedness.

The meeting's guest speaker will be Mike Arcari, director of Nassau County CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) and RACES (Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service).

All community members are invited to attend the meeting at Dance Express at 1032 Broadway in Woodmere.
