Target Opening New Small-Format Store This Weekend In Lawrence
The new store is smaller than a traditional Target, but features many of the same goods, the company says.

LAWRENCE, NY — Target is opening a new small-format store in the Five Towns this weekend. The store is designed for dense suburban areas where a traditional Target wouldn't fit.
The new store, which is located at 345 Rockaway Turnpike, is holding its grand opening on Sunday, March 14. The store is about 43,000 square feet, which is about a third the size of a normal Target.
However, Target says it still boasts many of the same products that shoppers can find at full-sized stores, including clothing, home decor, health and beauty products and a grocery section. The Lawrence store will even include a Starbucks.
