Tenant Sought for Former Mezzanote Space in Hewlett

The landlord of the former site of Matteo’s and Mezzanote in Hewlett seeks another eatery to fill the vacant space.

The 3,400 square-foot space at 1465 Broadway has a “wonderful history” and was a “successful restaurant location for many years,” according to Ian Leigh, a realtor at Pugatch. The property’s landlord will work with a qualified restaurateur to complete a buildout to their specifications, he said.

The restaurant features a full basement and a lower level party room with a large municipal parking lot nearby. Pugatch did not provide the monthly rent amount, but did say a long-term lease will be offered at “competitive market rates.”

Leigh said the building presents a “great opportunity for a well-established restaurant operator.”
