Theft from Autos, Arrests for Shoplifting and DWI, May 28 to June 3

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

The Fourth Precinct reports the following incidents of theft from autos:

  • An unknown suspect(s) between May 28 and 29 stole a laptop from a vehicle that was parked on Park Street in Atlantic Beach.

  • An unknown suspect(s) between May 28 and 29 took money, sunglasses and a CD out of an unlocked vehicle that was parked on Park Street in Atlantic Beach.

  • An unknown suspect(s) on May 31 removed money and a GPS unit out of an unlocked vehicle that was parked on Firethorne Drive in Lawrence.

    The Fourth Precinct said the following individuals were arrested and charged with shoplifting:

    • Maria Korpusinska, 61, of Rockaway Park, at the Costco in North Lawrence on May 29

  • Anthony Riley, 56, of Brooklyn, at the JC Penney in Green Acres Mall on May 29

  • Lynaisha Nelson, 17, of St. Albans, and Alaiyha Ferguson, 17, of Cambria Heights, at the JC Penney in Green Acres Mall on May 31

  • Tara Mungin, 35, of Jamaica, at the Walmart in Green Acres Mall on June 2

  • Myrlene Garcon, 37, of S Floral Park, at the Walmart in Green Acres Mall on June 3


  • David Pearlman, 34, of Oceanside, was arrested on June 1 and charged with DWI at the Silver Point Beach Club in Atlantic Beach.
