The newest owner of the building at the northeast corner of Broadway and Franklin Avenue in Hewlett is searching for tenants for two retail spaces.
The storefronts, at 1201 and 1205 Broadway, were formerly occupied by a Verizon Wireless retailer and Fin’s Collection.
“[1201 Broadway is] a lovely corner location ideal for a shoe store, dessert bar or another phone store. I can see so many good things,” said Annette Samant, of Douglas Elliman Real Estate. “The other store would be ideal for retail. It’s among great stores such as Mixology and Sheryl David.”

The building switched hands in the past year, and the newest owner has reduced the rents on the two storefronts: $2,500 for the 450 square-foot 1201 Broadway and $2,800 for the 815 square-foot 1205 Broadway. Leases are flexible, Samant said. A free parking lot is available in the back of both stores.
Samant said that things are really picking up in Hewlett.

“Hewlett now is the new Cedarhurst,” she said. “It’s gearing to be a shopper’s paradise.”
