A Valley Stream man was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly breaking into two homes and stealing jewelry, police said.
Ryan O’Donnell, 25, is charged with two counts of second-degree burglary. He will be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Oct. 10.
According to detectives, on Sept. 13, O’Donnell allegedly entered an East Avenue home through a basement window and removed several pieces of women’s jewelry. Then, on Oct. 2, he allegedly broke into a West Mineola Avenue residence and removed assorted jewelry items.

A subsequent investigation by detectives led them to O’Donnell, who was placed under arrest on Oct. 9 without incident at his home.
