1. The LI Herald outlines the Hewlett Harbor village elections. Incumbent trustees Leonard Oppenheimer and Gil Bruh are running against Afrim Pulatani and Domenico Calandrella. The election will be held on June 15. The seats are for two-year terms. 2. Jessica M. Semins has a story on weekend on-street dining nights in Valley Stream. On Friday and Saturday nights from 6 p.m. until midnight, a stretch of Rockaway Avenue will be closed to traffic for outdoor dining. 3. Jessica M. Semins also profiles a local author who wants to help those caring for loved ones with dementia. Valley Stream's Toni Fisk just published “Unlocking the Mystery of Dementia and Dining.” Fisk brought her decades of experience in nursing care and food to help family members find strategies for caretaking. 4. The Daily Voice has an update on missing Woodmere teen Shira Ashvil, who has been found. She was located on Thursday. (Daily Voice)
5. Andy Slawson names the top senior high school athletes of the year. Ilan Goldberg and Rachem Arbitmna from Hewlett High School were named to Newsday's 2020-2021 All-Long Island Senior Athletes list. Goldberg made the list for boys swimming and Arbitmna for girls tennis. (Newsday)

- Tonight is the sixth grade PTA bowling night at Woodmere Lanes for Hewlett students, 6 to 8 p.m.
Five Towns Notebook:
- Nassau politicians held a news conference yesterday to announce the completion of improvements at Inwood Park's bulkhead and kayak launch. The work was part of a $2.7 million project to update the bulkhead that was built in 1965. (Nassau County)
- Casie Marra from Woodmere graduated from James Madison University with a degree in psychology. James Silberger, also of Woodmere, graduated Cum Laude with a degree in sport management.(Merit Pages News)
- Hewlett high school sophomore Noa Wodnitzky won runner-up in a national essay contest run by Scholastic Action Magazine. Her story was about learning English and how baking taught her patience in the process. (Facebook)
