Women Stole From Valley Stream Walmart, Punched Guard: PD

Four women were arrested and police said two of them punched a security guard in the face.

VALLEY STREAM, NY — Four Brooklyn women were arrested over the weekend after they improperly scanned merchandise in the self-checkout aisle at the Walmart near the Green Acres Mall, according to Nassau County police.

On Sunday afternoon, the women packed their items and left the store without paying, police said. A security guard confronted them and two of the women punched him in the face, police said.

The 51-year-old guard was treated at an area hospital for pain and swelling, detectives said.

Sada Stricklin, 25, and Fantasia Hall, 23, were charged with second-degree robbery and third-degree assault. Michelle Freeman, 28, and Shariel Stith, 27, were charged with second-degree robbery.

The women were expected to be arraigned Monday in Mineola.
