Annual "Tour de Flushing" to Kickoff from Kissena Corridor Park
Explore the Flushing Community on this Family-Friendly Bicycle Ride on Sun, Aug 19, 9:30am

Local residents and community activists will kick off the 2nd Annual "Tour de Flushing" on Sunday, August 19, 9:30am, from the Main Street and Elder Avenue entrance to Kissena Corridor Park. This is a free ride open to the general public.
Residents from throughout Queens are expected to join this family-friendly 11-mile ride through Queens' Greenbelt and beautiful tree-lined streets. After the ride, participants will be encouraged to support the local business community by having lunch at the many world-class restaurants in downtown Flushing, Queens.
Co-hosted by Transportation Alternatives Eastern Queens Committee, The Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce and Eastern Queens Greenway, the Tour de Flushing is expected to show the cycling potential of beautiful Eastern Queens. The Transportation Alternatives Eastern Queens Committee is composed of local residents seeking to promote bicycling, walking, public transit. For more information, go to facebook.com/TAQVC/.

This year’s Tour de Flushing will begin at the Main Street and Elder Avenue entrance to Kissena Corridor Park and end at the historic Quaker Meeting House, located in dynamic and diverse downtown Flushing, New York. A bicycle valet service will be available at the meetinghouse.
The Eastern Queens Greenway is a coalition of neighbors
with one goal: to create a family safe route from Flushing Meadows to

The Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit membership association that fosters the economic growth, inclusive diversity, and shared prosperity of our community through advocacy, networking, and education.
