The Chengdu-based restaurant chain uses "tongue-numbing Sichuan pepper" for its soup recipe and such accompaniments as beef tripe, pork meatballs, spicy beef and fried rice cakes with brown sugar, Eater reported.

The complex, called Tangram after the traditional Chinese puzzle, will feature a 24,000-square-foot food hall and beer garden, movie theaters, restaurants, retail stores, two luxury residential towers and a commercial tower.
