Off-Duty Cop Pulls Gun On Queens Karaoke Waitress: Reports
An NYPD officer was arrested for pointing his gun at a waitress during a night out with his sergeant at a Flushing karaoke bar, reports say.
FLUSHING, QUEENS —An off-duty cop was arrested Saturday for pointing his gun at a waitress during a night out with his sergeant at a Flushing karaoke bar, according to news reports.
NYPD officer Hyun Kim, 25, was partying at the unnamed bar with a sergeant Tuesday night when a waitress noticed his firearm and asked if he was a "gangster," the New York Post reported.
Kim allegedly replied, "No, I'm a cop, and this is my boss," police sources told the Post.

Then he pulled out the gun, racked it and pointed it at the startled server, telling her to come hang out with him or he'd shoot her, the New York Daily News reported.
Two waitresses reported the encounter to police thinking the officer had been impersonating a cop, according to the Daily News.

Kim was charged Saturday afternoon with two counts of menacing, a police spokesperson said.
He and the sergeant, who both worked for the 115th Precinct in Jackson Heights, were suspended without pay, the Post reported.
