Elderly Pedestrian Killed Crossing Northeast Queens Street: Cops
An 80-year-old woman was killed in Murray Hill, Queens after a driver slammed into her as she crossed the street, police said Wednesday.

MURRAY HILL, QUEENS — An 80-year-old woman was killed last week in Queens after a driver slammed into her as she crossed the street, police said Wednesday.
Soon Ok Han was crossing 41st Avenue at Murray Street midday Friday when a driver heading west on the avenue in a Honda Civic stopped for a stop sign at that intersection, crossed Murray Street, then knocked into the pedestrian as she crossed the avenue on the opposite side, according to police.
Han was knocked to the ground, where the driver hit her a second time, the NYPD's Collision Investigation squad found.

First responders rushed the woman, a resident of Levittown in Nassau County, to New York-Presbyterian Hospital of Queens, where she died.
The driver, a 61-year-old man, was unharmed, police said.
