Flushing Chamber Joins "Share the Love" Emergency Relief Program
John Choe Presents $1000 check to Charles Yoon to Support Needy New Yorkers during Thanksgiving Fundraising Drive

The Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce joined the "Share the Love" Campaign organized by the Korean American Association of Greater New York (KAAGNY) to support needy New Yorkers during the Thanksgiving holiday. John Choe, executive director of the Flushing Chamber, presented a donation of $1000 raised from the local business community and members of the Chamber to Charles Yoon, president of KAAGNY, part of a $2 million fundraising campaign.
"In this difficult time, we must do more to help those New Yorkers in need, especially those who are not eligible for government assistance," stated John Choe, executive director of the Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce. "Our Chamber is proud to join KAAGNY in this important effort and encourages everyone in our community to step up and Share the Love."
KAAGNY launched the "Share the Love" food relief campaign to assist marginalized low-income families who are experiencing food insecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the available data, there are several thousand families that meet the above criteria.

Due to generous donations from our community, KAAGNY has raised more than $1 million for this effort. In addition, every dollar up to $500,000 will be matched by H-Mart with a $100 food voucher for a family of two or less and a $200 food voucher for a family two or more persons every month for a period of five months.
