Flushing Man Among 5 Dead After His Bus Crashes In Pennsylvania

FLUSHING, QUEENS — A Flushing man was among five killed when the bus he was driving crashed on the Pennsylvania Turnpike early Sunday, according to state police.

Shuang Qing Feng, 58, was driving passengers from New York City to Cincinnati when he lost control of the bus on a mountainous and rural stretch of the highway about 30 miles east of Pittsburgh, the Associated Press reported.

The crash, which involved three tractor-trailers and a passenger car, also left at least 60 people injured and shut down a a 90-mile stretch of the turnpike for most of the day Sunday, according to the AP.

The victims include two bus passengers, Eileen Zelis Aria, 35, of the Bronx, and 9-year-old Jaremy Vazquez, of Brooklyn, according to the Westmoreland County coroner's office. Two UPS drivers in a tractor-trailer were also killed, authorities told the AP.

The cause of the crash is still unknown; Pennsylvania State Police spokesperson Stephen Limani said it could take weeks or months to determine.
