Flushing Pedestrian Dies One Week After Car Crash: Cops
A Flushing woman died Monday, one week after she was hit crossing the street in her neighborhood, according to the police.
FLUSHING, QUEENS — A Flushing woman died Monday, one week after she was hit crossing the street in her neighborhood, according to the police.
Adela Hernandez was crossing 162nd Street just north of 46th Avenue the evening of Nov. 25 when a driver in a Subaru Impreza crashed into her, a police investigation found.
First responders rushed the 69-year-old woman to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where she died from her injuries a week later.

The driver, a 41-year-old man, was unharmed.
Police haven't made any arrests in connection with the crash. The NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad is investigating.
