Community Market & Summer Festival: Opportunity to Connect with Thousands of Potential Customers

The Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce and GoHive announced an open call for vendors and artists to participate in this year's FNO community market and summer festival scheduled for Saturday, August 24, at 38th Avenue between Main Street and Prince Street. Spaces are limited and will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.
In 2015, the Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce established "Flushing Night Out" as the first community market and social event in downtown Flushing, New York. FNO seeks to bring together all the people who live and work in our community, showcase our amazing cultural diversity, promote small businesses, and make Flushing a destination for the world. FNO features area restaurants and businesses as well as live music and entertainment from local artists.
"FNO 2019 will be a good opportunity for local entrepreneurs to market and connect with thousands of potential customers," stated Taehoon Kim, president of the Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce. "I expect this year's FNO to be the most successful community street festival ever. This is the first time we are having this annual event in the heart of Downtown Flushing so we expect a great turnout. Therefore I urge local businesses to take advantage of this opportunity by signing up to be a vendor."

FNO vendors must have a New York State Sales Tax Certificate of Authority (Sales Tax ID), which is free to obtain. Food vendors will need a Food Service Establishment Permit (FSE) or a Temporary Food Service Establishment Permit (TFSE) and a Food Protection Certificate from the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Those interested in vending should contact the Chamber at fno@flushingchamber.nyc or visit www.flushingchamber.nyc for more information.
The 2019 FNO market and summer festival is organized by the Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with GoHive as part of the Flushing Fantastic district marketing campaign, which is funded by the New York City Department of Small Business Services (SBS) Neighborhood 360° Program.
"Flushing Night Out is a great way to promote and market local businesses," stated James Chen, founder of Blink Marketing and GoHive. "Due to the high rent in downtown Flushing, we strongly encourage all the local business owners to participate in this event. We are confident that the turnout for this event will be a success. If you are interested, please contact us at 718-886-8810 or info@gohive.com for vendor registration forms."
The Chamber is also looking to showcase local talent at FNO 2019. Musicians and artists interested in performing should contact fno@flushingchamber.nyc.
