New Flushing Apartments To Have Supermarket & Burger King: Report
The retailers will be on the ground floor of the 100-unit apartment complex slated for 144-74 Northern Boulevard, city records show.

FLUSHING, QUEENS -- Another apartment building is in the works for Flushing, and future residents won't even need to leave the building to grocery shop - or pick up the occasional grease-filled Whopper from Burger King.
The 163,320-square-foot complex is slated to rise seven stories at 144-74 Northern Boulevard, bringing with it 100 apartments and ground-floor space for several new retailers, city records show.
The building's 20,159 square feet of retail space will be divided between four stores on its ground and subceller levels, according to filings with the city's Department of Buildings.

H Mart - a Korean supermarket chain most prominent in New York, New Jersey and California - will be the building's main retailer, slated to go in alongside a Burger King, YIMBY reported Monday. The fast food eatery previously stood alone at the address before it was demolished to make way for the apartments.
The building's ground floor will also feature an apartment lobby and mail room, according to DOB filings. A community facility area with indoor and outdoor recreation will make up the building's second floor.

The remaining five stories will be dedicated to more than 70,000 square feet of apartments, city records show. There will be 21 units on each floor but the seventh, which will hold 16.
The building is also slated to include 172 parking spaces - 80 percent of them underground and the rest in a parking lot - and storage for 30 bicycles, according to DOB records.
Residents will also have access to a 9,000-square-foot rooftop recreation area, city records show.
Developers at Sabre Real Estate Group filed plans in December 2017 to build the complex, which is being designed by Ismael Levya Architects. Both agencies are based in Manhattan.
No completion date has been announced yet on the building.
