Nonprofit's New Flushing HQ Offers Senior Center, Immigration Aid

Asian Americans for Equality's new Flushing community center will offer immigration, small business and senior services.

FLUSHING, QUEENS — The nonprofit Asian Americans for Equality is debuting a new Flushing community center offering an array of social services, from immigration counseling to applying for small business loans.

AAFE's One Flushing Community Center will celebrate its grand opening Monday in the affordable housing complex of the same name.

The 45-year-old nonprofit will use its new headquarters to help Flushing residents apply for U.S. citizenship, senior benefits like Medicare and small business loans and to host workshops on such topics as tenant rights and running a small business.
