Pedestrian In Critical Condition After Flushing Crash: FDNY

A pedestrian was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after a crash in downtown Flushing Wednesday morning, authorities say.

Update: The pedestrian died a day after this crash, police say.

FLUSHING, QUEENS — A pedestrian is in critical condition following a crash in Flushing Wednesday morning, authorities said.

The crash happened about 8:40 a.m. near the intersection of Sanford Avenue and Main Street in downtown Flushing, a Fire Department spokesperson said.

EMS rushed the victim to New York Presbyterian-Queens.

A police spokesperson confirmed the NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad is on the case but had no additional information about how the crash happened and the victim's injuries.
