Queens College Business Center Now Offering Services In Korean
Queens College's new small business​ development center, which opened in May, has started offering free services in Korean.

KEW GARDENS HILLS, QUEENS — Queens College's new small business development center has started offering services in Korean.
The center, a collaboration between Queens College and LaGuardia Community College, offered services in English and Mandarin when it opened in May, according to a press release.
Geared toward immigrant entrepreneurs and other underrepresented populations of Flushing, the center offers free counseling, training and research services on topics such as developing business plans and applying for loans.

"Providing assistance in Korean will help many Korean American business owners take full advantage of the exceptional services that this SBDC has to offer," U.S. Rep. Grace Meng, who secured the center's funding, said in a statement. "Language should never be a barrier to accessing help with starting and growing a business."
Queens College's center is third of its kind in the borough and the ninth in New York City, according to a news release about its May opening.

The center is located in Kissena Hall, opposite the main campus, at 64-19 Kissena Blvd. Appointments for services in Korean are required and can be made by calling 718-570-0821.
