Update: Arrest In Hit-And-Run That Killed Elderly Flushing Woman
Police arrested a woman in the Flushing hit-and-run that killed a 77-year-old woman on her way home from church Wednesday morning.

FLUSHING, QUEENS -- Police arrested a woman in the hit-and-run that killed a 77-year-old Queens woman just blocks away from her home.
Jun Sum Yim, of Flushing, was walking home from church on Wednesday morning when a vehicle slammed into her and fled the scene, Patch previously reported. She was taken to Flushing Hospital, where she later died.
Police arrested Geum Min, 58, for the hit-and-run death on Thursday morning. The Flushing woman now faces charges of leaving the scene of an accident, failure to yield to a pedestrian and failure to exercise due care, cops said.

Yim was crossing between 32nd and 33rd avenues on Parson's Boulevard - just two blocks from her home - when she was struck at around 7 a.m., police said. When cops arrived at the scene, Yim was lying unconscious on the roadway and the driver that hit her was gone, according to the NYPD.
