76-Year-Old Man Knocked To Ground In Forest Hills Assault: Cops

A suspect punched an elderly man on a Forest Hills sidewalk on Friday, causing him to fall to the ground, police said.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — Police are searching for a suspect accused of kicking an elderly man on a Forest Hills sidewalk on Friday.

Around 7:24 p.m. on Friday, April 23, the victim, a 76-year-old man, was in front of 108-01 Queens Boulevard, near the Forest Hills - 71 Ave subway station, when an unidentified male suspect approached him.

The suspect kicked the victim in the stomach, causing him to fall and hit his head on the ground, police said. The attacker then fled west along 108 Street.

The elderly male victim, who suffered cuts on his head and hand, declined medical attention. Police released surveillance images showing the male attacker from the area where the assault happened.
