New 8-Story Apartment Building Planned For Queens Boulevard
A new, eight-story apartment building is in the works for Queens Boulevard in Rego Park, according to building department records.

REGO PARK, QUEENS — A new, eight-story apartment building is in the works for Queens Boulevard in Rego Park, according to plans filed with the city Department of Buildings.
The 80-foot tall building at 92-54 Queens Blvd. will contain 35 apartments, a basement with 11 parking spots, ground-floor retail space and a daycare center for children aged six and up, records show.
Demolition of the five stores that occupy the site, which stretches to 92-64 Queens Blvd., started in September, according to the Forest Hills Post.

Owner Hai Keng Luo filed similar plans at the end of 2018 but included a healthcare facility instead of a daycare center. Those plans weren't approved, according to building department records.
Luo bought the property for $9.65 million in August 2018, the Forest Hills Post reported.
