Beer-Tasting Fundraiser Benefits Antipoverty Nonprofit
The Face-to-Face Project, based in Brooklyn, wants to break the cycle of poverty through creating self-reliant communities.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A beer-tasting event to benefit a antipoverty nonprofit in Brooklyn is coming to The Community House in Forest Hills Gardens, located at 15 Borage Pl.
The Face-to-Face Project, based in Brooklyn, began as The Face-to-Face AIDS Project in 203 as part of a Harvard Medical School initiative to document the AIDS pandemic in South Africa. Today, the nonprofit seeks to find the best way to break the cycle of poverty through helping communities rely on themselves.
The fundraiser, held 1 to 4:30 p.m., is in its second year, inviting donors to taste samples from home brewers and local breweries.
