Classic Rock Is Coming To The Other Place For A Free Show

The spirit of the 60s and 70s is set to come alive through NYC's 3 Sheets to the Wind.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — The counterculture of the 60s and 70s manifests in a nighttime performance by a three-man band bringing classic rock and blues to The Other Place.

The Other Place, serving up everyday American eats and local craft beer on tap, is located at 103-19 Metropolitan Ave. On Aug. 18 from 8 to 11 p.m., the restaurant doubles as a music venue when New York City’s 3 Sheets to the Wind plays everything from The Beatles to Jimi Hendrix to Eric Clapton in a free Forest Hills show.

The band is led by Andy Sachs on guitar, synth and vocals; Tim Farrell on bass; and Mark Kaplan on drums. The trio has been together for 12 years, according to the band’s Facebook page.
