College Students Launch Go Fund Me to Provide Lunch for the NYPD

St. John's University Students raise funds to show gratitude for the local police department

St. John's University college students Rachel Yakubov and Daniella Shimunov launched a GoFundMe campaign successfully raising over $1,000 to sponsor lunch for the NYPD.

"We all can agree that the recorded murder of George Floyd was horrible and heartbreaking; the cop must be tried and held accountable. This, however, does not justify the abuse that the overwhelming majority of honorable cops have recently been facing."

On July 16, 2020, both girls, born and raised in Queens, New York, delivered fresh salads, wraps, and beverages to the 78th precinct, in Brooklyn. "We raised money to buy lunch for one of New York's most targeted precincts."

Rachel and Daniella encourage more families to donate to support their cause.
