QUEENS, NY — The family of a 7-year-old cancer survivor in Queens launched a month-long toy drive at Queens Borough Hall to support children waging their own fights against cancer.
King Singh, a Queens Village resident who was diagnosed with cancer at just 2 years old, spent years fighting the disease. Now, he's beaten cancer and continues to help others like him through the King Fights Cancer Foundation.
His latest effort is a toy drive in partnership with Acting Queens Borough President Sharon Lee's office, which started Thursday and runs through Oct. 30, according to a news release.

“The remarkable strength and sense of community King Singh and his family possess are inspirations to all of us in the Borough of Families,” Lee said in a statement. “Please consider following his generous example and donating a new toy today to support the many children like King courageously fighting this insidious disease.”
