FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A Station Square restaurant will reopen by the end of the month, in anticipation of the end to restoration work in the historic Forest Hills area.

Asian fusion restaurant Jade Eatery and Lounge plans to reopen in time for the first Forest Hills Stadium event of the season on May 25, the Forest Hills Post reported. The restaurant had closed in January amid ongoing renovations to Station Square.

The restoration project caused business to suffer, co-owner Irina Gottesman told the Forest Hills Post. The Forest Hills Gardens Corporation closed the area to traffic when it began restoring the square's brick roads last April.

"We just couldn’t stay open but now that Station Square is opening up soon, we are looking forward to kind of a brand new launch," Gottesman said.

The revamped Jade Eatery and Lounge will feature a new sushi bar and a greater focus on specialty cocktails, according to Gottesman.
