Forest Hills Asian Association Celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival
The Forest Hills Asian Association's free Mid-Autumn Festival celebration will feature mooncakes from Fay Da Bakery and dance performances.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — The Mid-Autumn Festival has already come and gone, but the festivities continue Thursday in Queens with a free celebration hosted by the Forest Hills Asian Association.
Highlights will include mooncakes donated by Fay Da Bakery and performances by the Rego Park Cultural Dance Group & Bliss Line Dancers and Selfhelp Austin Street Senior Center's culture club, according to a press release.
The celebration will also honor the Fu Generation Foundation, a local charity created to support underprivileged elderly individuals and young people.

The Mid-Autumn Festival, or Moon Festival, is an official Chinese holiday. It fell on Sept. 13 this year, according to CNN Travel.
The Forest Hills Asian Association's celebration Thursday will take place at the Ridgewood Savings Bank on Queens Boulevard by 108th Street starting at 7 p.m.
