Forest Hills' historic Cinemart Cinemas is slated to reopen in April.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — Forest Hills' historic Cinemart Cinemas is slated to reopen in April, several weeks after a state order takes effect that allows New York movie theaters to resume screenings at limited capacity.
Cinemart, at 106-03 Metropolitan Ave., is on track to reopen April 1, according to a social media post and news reports.
"Being shut down for one year it takes time to get back our staff, training for cinema safe protocols and last but very important," a Cinemart Cinemas Facebook post reads, "we will like to pressure Hollywood to move up some good movies earlier on their release schedule instead of the current B movies now available."
