Forest Hills School Safety Officer Punched In The Face, NYPD Says

A man walked into P.S. 175, struck up a conversation with an NYPD school safety officer, then punched her in the face, police say.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A school safety officer was hurt after a man punched her in the face at P.S. 175 on Valentine's Day morning, according to the police.

The unidentified man walked into the Forest Hills elementary school about 8 a.m. Friday and started chatting with the NYPD school safety officer, then suddenly hit her, police said.

She went to a nearby hospital for a cut on her lip, according to police.

Over the weekend, police released surveillance footage of her attacker in an effort to track him down.
