Kew Gardens Interchange Exit Changes From Right To Left Lane: DOT

Drivers on the Kew Gardens Interchange will access Exit 13W from the left lane instead of the right lane as early as Thursday, said the DOT.

KEW GARDENS, QUEENS — Driving from Queens to Brooklyn on the Kew Gardens Interchange will get more complicated this Thursday, April 29, at the Exit 13W ramp, which is shifting from its current right-lane location to a spot that’s accessed from the left lane, the New York State Department of Transportation is warning drivers.

The ramp, which drivers use when going from eastbound Grand Central Parkway to westbound Jackie Robinson Parkway, is currently accessed from the right lane, but as of Thursday it will be moved a quarter mile east of its previous location and accessed from the left lane, said the DOT.

The ramp change is the latest update in the state’s multimillion-dollar project to revamp the complex Kew Gardens Interchange — which pre-COVID the DOT said served nearly 600,000 vehicles every day.
