3 Dead, More Injured In Elmhurst House Fire: Reports
Two New York City firefighters are among those who were injured in the early-morning house fire in Queens.

ELMHURST, NY — Three people are dead and several more injured following an early-morning fire that ravaged a three-story home in Queens. Reports said the three-alarm fire broke out around 5:30 a.m. at a house on 48th Avenue in Elmhurst.
According to WABC-7, the home was occupied by squatters, and officials confirmed to the news station that at least eight people were living in the foreclosed home.
Two of the home's occupants were not there at the time of the fire, and two others were able to get to safety before the fire spread. Both were taken to Elmhurt Hospital for evaluation.
