Missing Kew Gardens Woman Found Dead In Forest Park

KEW GARDENS, QUEENS – A Kew Gardens woman who was reported missing last week was found dead in Forest Park on Tuesday.

Just before midnight on Tuesday, police found Meghan Stecher, 28, in Forest Park unconscious and unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.

Police said there were no obvious signs of trauma.

Stecher was last seen Thursday evening at her Austin Street home, the NYPD said in a news release.

She was wearing a black hat, black jacket, black sweatpants and red boots at the time, according to police.

The cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner. An investigation is ongoing.
